Fine art silkscreen printing studio in St Just in Penwith, Cornwall

 

D'Silva Editions is a fine art silkscreen printing company creating traditional, hand crafted, multi-layered prints. It is run by husband and wife team David & Tracey D'Silva, who moved their silkscreen studios from London to St Just in Penwith, Cornwall in 2004.

David & Tracey work directly with artists, galleries and publishers to create unique limited edition prints and also offer open access studio facilities and courses in screen printing.

We realised a dream when we followed our passion for the stunning Penwith peninsular and its vibrant arts scene.

The studio at South Bosvargus farm in St Just is situated high on the hill - the views of the mining town of St Just and to the sea beyond are stunning and often distracting!

David has worked as a fine art printmaker for over 25 years, pioneering many techniques and devices to transform the silkscreen print from a 'flat' poster style image, to a painterly textures and multi-layered image.

Before setting up his own studio he worked with many of the countries leading silkscreen studios including: Advanced Graphics, Coriander and London Contemporary Art - where he set up and ran the silkscreen department. David also ran a very popular evening class in silk screen printing at the City of London Polytechnic (formerly Sir John Class School of Art).

David has produced prints for artists such as Tom Philips, John Walker, Ralf Kitaj, Patrick Hughes, Patrick Caulfield, Roy Fairchild and since relocating to Cornwall has enjoyed working Cornish artists such as Jeremy Annear, Noel Betowski and Maggie Matthews.
